Topic "3D print"

General 3D printing
3D printing has increasingly prevailed in the dental industry in recent years and offers highly precise and reproducible results for many areas of dental technology.
The demand for inexpensive printers suitable for dental applications as well as the appropriate printing materials is constantly increasing.
We offer a complete system for this purpose, which includes all work stages from slicing the models to the finished medical product.
The digital course offers a basic and well-founded introduction to the working area of CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) with the Dreve version of the Sonic XL 4K 2022.

Phrozen Sonic XL 4K 2022 Qualified by Dreve
In the 2nd part of the course, first working steps are explained in detail and demonstrated in a Powerpoint presentation: From the initial installation of the Dreve Edition of the Phrozen Sonic XL 4K 2022, including necessary software settings, to the finished, first print job using FotoDent® materials, followed by the cleaning and ending up in the post-curing of the printed parts.
Hence, the entire 3D workflow is explained, and useful tips and tricks are given.

Objectives
At the end of the course, background information and advantages of dental 3D printing are explained explicitly and well-known. Experiencing the initial installation as well as the completion of a whole print job, enables to own installation and application.

Topic "Thermoforming technique"

Thermoforming technique, a general introduction

This course provides participants with a comprehensive introduction to the field of work of the dental thermoforming technique. In a PowerPoint presentation, devices, materials and opportunities in the field of dental thermoforming technology are presented and supplemented with many useful tips and tricks for simple, safe working and perfect results.

Practical part
Demonstration of common types of splint therapy (Bleach / Drug / Bruxism / Occlusion / Michigan / Relaxation Splint). Production of any splint type on own models . Individual questions and problems related to the thermoforming technique can be discussed.

Please bring
Upper jaw and  lower jaw models (ideally, full dentition), work protective clothing, modeling- and trimming instruments

Duration
8 hours

For over 40 years thermoforming technique forms a solid foundation in various fields of dentistry and belongs in any laboratory for daily use. This technique is particularly economical in the production of all types of splints up to mouthguards. The production of occlusal splints serves above all for the perfect preparation of the temporomandibular joint for a subsequent definitive restoration.

Theoretical part ppt. (about 2h plus translation time if necessary)

  • Treatment concept based on a patient case
  • Medical basics
  • Reasons and explanations for the individual steps
  • Detailed description of material and the individual work steps
  • Tips and tricks
  • Open discussion

Practical part (about 4h plus translation time if necessary)

  • Preparing an occlusal splint through the course participants on their own models

Please bring
Your own inarticulated plaster-models, 1x upper jaw / 2x lower jaw, protective work clothing, modeling and trimming instruments

Duration
8 hours

Individual mouthguard has increasingly become a part of general protection not ony exclusively for professional athletes, but especially for recreational athletes. In times of increasing costs for dental prosthesis in combination with dangerous trend sports like skate boarding, inline skating and biking as well as martial arts the mouthguard should be worn as prophylaxis system. The international Dreve mouthguard system is perfectly adapted to articulated models to the oral situation of athletes, color and design are freely selectable.

Theoretical part

ppt. provides an informative lecture about the mouthguard, explains the function and the differences to converted mouthguards and shows the different risks of injury with and without individual mouthguards on the basis of international investigations.

Practical part

  • Function and use of the Drufomat scan
  • Preparing a mouth guard by the course participant on their own models.

Please bring

  • Workwear (lab coat)
  • Working instruments (Wax knife, scalpel, scissors, etc.)
  • 2 matching upper jaw and lower jaw models (Patient case models or ideally models of your own) mounted on an articulator
  • 1 extra upper jaw model, grinded, without model socket but with fold

Price
335 € per person

Duration
8 hours (9–17 h)

Topic „Silicones“

This training shows possibilities and limitations of silicones in the dental application.

Theoretical part
With regard to the different chemical compositions and fields of application, the ideal processing of the silicones up to perfect results is shown. In a detailed "troubleshooting" sources of error are identified and possible solutions are worked out.
